Chances are good there are many in your area that have heard about the benefits of cycling for people with Parkinson's.  Maybe you can help start a Pedaling For Parkinson's program in your neck-of-the-woods?

It's simple.  To start a Pedaling For Parkinson's class, you'll need to do the following:

  • Request the PFP Start up Guide

  • Request the PFP License Agreement

    • An agreement is required to license the use of the program name and logo, protecting the trademarks, and ensuring support from PFP.

  • Class Leaders

    • A class leader is required by PFP and in most cases by the host facility. Lead instructors should be familiar with indoor cycling, equipment, and cycling in general. No specific PFP certification is required. Instructors are asked to view the videos on the Instructors page. Leaders should cultivate substitutes to ensure classes continue on the regular schedule when the lead instructor is unavailable.

  • Participants

    • Of course, once you’ve got all the pieces in place, you’ll need participants!

  • Get the Word Out

    • “If you build it, they will come.”  But, they need to know it's there.  Marketing suggestions are included in the Start-up Guide and once licensed, your site will be added to the PFP Locations map.

The Start-up Guide is an excellent resource designed to help you implement a class wherever you are.

The videos below provide details on the Pedaling For Parkinson's program and how to start a PFP program in your location.
