About the class
Pedaling for Parkinson's is a form of “Forced Exercise” on an indoor stationary bicycle designed specifically for people with Parkinson's disease.
Participants ride for 60 minutes, 3 times per week, following the instructor led format below:

10 minute warm up at 60 RPM,

followed by 40 minutes at 80 to 90 RPM,

and a 10 minute cool down at 60 RPM.
Pedaling for Parkinson's can be rigorous exercise for some people. Be prepared with the following:

a physician's approval is required
-
signed waiver is required
-
proper cycling apparel is encouraged
-
padded cycling shorts & comfortable shirt.

clip-in shoes are encouraged but not required.

water bottle
- heart-rate monitor recommended
-
other cycling accessories may be helpful
-
portable seat pads, gloves, etc.
